I am a clinical trial participant. I do so because I am at extremely high risk for PD, am apparently in the promordial stage of the disease, and want to do everything I can toward a treatment and cure. Early diagnosis would be nice too. My only concern in participating is that most or all of the studies are blind. Since I am willing to go through the discomfort and time involved with the testing, I would like to know the results. I could easily keep them to myself and not tell the research team. But I am not given that opportunity.
